I love this piece. It reminds me of the day I first came off my bike. I was 12 and there was lots of blood and a tooth on the road. I had concussion and was unable to move. Nobody came to my aid, people stepped over/drove around me. I felt useless and seedy and I had gravel in my cheek. For a short while I thought I must have died as nobody paid any attention to me and I felt like a ghost.
The juxtaposition between concussion and gravel burns in your picture is exquisite.
